Try it Tuesday

Monkey Bread

On the quest to try new things, we are implanting "Try it Tuesday" in our house. I thought that I would start off slow, so that just saying that it was Tuesday, the kids don't start heading for the hills...

Mason was given a small piece of dough to help out

This is the results!

MONKEY BREAD
4 cans refrigerator biscuits (about 40)
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup pecans, raisins and/or coconut, if desired

Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Pour sugar and cinnamon into a plastic bag and mix.
Add biscuit pieces, several at a time; shake to coat well.
Place pieces in a buttered tube or Bundt pan until all are used.
Sprinkle layers with nuts, raisins or coconut.
Bring brown sugar and butter to a boil in saucepan. Cool 10 minutes, then pour over top of biscuits.
Bake at 350F for 45 minutes. Allow to cool 15 minutes before removing from pan. Turn upside down to serve.
Results:**** YUM!

Oh yum! We make something similar here and the kiddos eat it as if they have never eaten a meal before! It sounds as if you have gotten quite a plan together for shaking things up at home. I look forward to other adventures. =)

So glad you found me! I noticed on your sidebar the Junk Gypies. Love them too. Your children are adorable. I have a 5 yo that really wants to cheer. I just couldn't find a place for her age nearby.

( I can't leave a comment except by signing in with my old blogger account.)
