When I was a young child, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents house. My grandmother had a great love for collecting antiques and was a firm believer in using what you collected.

The old wash stand used to house thousands of family pictures, every time I would visit, we would drag out old pictures and look at them.

The Secretary Desk and Music stands were home to my grandmothers Elvis record collection. I still recall a statue of Elvis that used to sit on the upper shelf.

And my most favorite is the piano, where all of the grandchildren would run to when we got to her home, none of us able to play, but would always pretend to be a pro. Now it is one of the first places my children go.
My grandmother has since pasted and gone to Heaven, but these beautiful pieces of furniture continue to have lasting memories.

-Cheers, Amy

Oh isn't it great to have such beautiful family heirlooms. I too have some of my grandparents furniture that I treasure. You can't go wrong with dates you picked for the show. There will be plenty to be found, I'm sure. Please stop by and say hello when you come out.

How fortunate you are to have such family treasures! I know that you love them and cherish the memories that go with them.

It's funny that you mentioned your grandmothers Elvis albums and statute. My grandmother LOVED that man and his music! I remember going to her house and listening to her records. My other grandparents had a piano (my sister has it now). My granddad would give us a quarter, NOT to play it. I wished he could have lived long enough to hear how well, my sisters and I play now.

Have a lovely week.
