Saturday Shopping

One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday morning is slip away and go shopping. This time I took my camera along. I love to go to shops that are off the beaten path, and they tend to be a bit more reasonable. One of my favorite places is called The Arrangement located off West Avenue. This adorable little shop is owned by a mother daughter duo who are just as cute as they could be. Let’s take a look at what all I found.

I loved this old church door, I want to reuse it later on for a pantry door.

Only in Texas would you see cute décor and a Long Horn Head on the Wall, Hook’em Horns!

Hey, I was there yesterday, too! Did you go around the corner to Bygones? I can't get over how the furniture in that store moves. I always walk around and think everything is priced too high, but the next time I go, it's all sold. Unbelieveable.

Great pics! Cannot wait to find some cute little shops like this here in T-town. Thanks for the encouragment. It is going to take some time, but I know this is where we are supposed to be and I'm praying that it soon becomes "home". Hope you are having a wonderful week!

This looks like a wonderful place to escape to and spend HOURS browsing in! Beautiful shop! I loved your post on the confessions of a SAHM and the dust bunnies. Oh that sounds like my life! If I clean & prepare for kids, their friends and parents to come in, they don't...and if I am not prepared, here they come! LOL! Oh well, such is life!

I just LOVE shops like that----so many amazing treasures so enticingly arranged.

I so enjoyed your dust bunny abduction of the shoes and I so agree with you about house cleaning. It just wastes alot of time----it doesn't stay clean, so why keep doing it?

Thanks for commenting about the pink sponge rollers!! dana

The shopping looked fun and I enjoyed the photos. A friend just hang an old door, painted several layers of destressed red and hung it sideways on her wall in her family room. She attached some shelving with pictures, plants etc. and hooks. It looks fabulous! She is very creative. Please keep us updated on Caty and your childrens pictures are beautiful.

When we lived in London, I went to another expats house and she had, lo and behold, Texas longhorn HORNS on top of her TV armoire! She actually brought them back on the airplane as carry-on (OBVIOUSLY pre-9/11). She is from Galveston so I was happy to know there were SEVERAL fellow Texans in our neighborhood in the London area. And they were cute in her room full of chintzes and all!
